Triple Plus+

Triple Plus+ is the latest generation of the respected "Triple" family of toxic, oxygen and flammable gas detectors. With over 90,000 units sold to oil and gas, chemical, utility and manufacturing companies worldwide, their combination of ruggedness, reliability, ease of use and sensor flexibility has set the standard for multigas portables.

Today's TriplePlus+ builds on this pedigree by inclusion of unique LIBRA lithium-ion battery technology and the option of infrared (IR) sensors for the measurement of flammable hydrocarbons or carbon dioxide.

Intrinsically safe, the Triple Plus+ provides enhanced facilities for safety and detector fleet managers including selection of flammable gas correction factors (so one unit can be used in several locations across a site) and annotation of the data file with user names and site names selected from pre-configured files in the unit.

Detective+

Designed for group protection, area monitoring and providing a virtual fenceline, Detective+ is a rugged, interconnectable, multigas temporary area monitor. Building on Crowcon's experience in pioneering this category of detector, Detective+ has earned a reputation for reliability and versatility in demanding environments stretching from offshore platforms to the sands of the Middle East.

Rugged and robust, Detective+ features either fixed or folding legs and a protective frame that allows stacking for easier storage.

Available with an optional internal pump for sampling versatility, alarms are announced with an extremely loud sounder, while multiple beacons ensure 360 degree visibility.

Detective+ may now also be equipped with infra-red (IR) sensors, providing either CO2 detection, or allowing higher levels of flammable gas monitoring. IR sensors also provide immunity to the poisoning effects which standard flammable gas sensors can suffer from. This extends sensor life and further increases measurement confidence in tough applications such as water treatment plants and certain chemical or hydrocarbon processing facilities.

Detective Wireless

Detective Wireless is a module that can replace interconnecting cables for Detective+. Detective Wireless will transmit gas alert signals and other alarms wirelessly between Detective units using a 433MHz signal up to 100 metres in distance.

Detective Wireless uses the proven RICOCHET mesh network. When establishing a mesh network, Detective Wireless automatically selects the best line to give strongest interconnections. Should wireless connection between two devices weaken, the network will ‘self-heal’ and automatically re-route communications via alternate RICOCHET enabled devices, creating a mesh type network that provides a more robust and efficient wireless network.

When Detective+ goes into alarm, the signal will be sent to other units alerting the user to gas being present in the area. If the signal is weak due to heavy metal work being present the Detective Wireless can be used as a repeater to boost the signal between units. In a confined space the unit can use up to 20 metres of cable to position the unit in a location that will increase signal.

I-Test & I-Test Manager

I-Test is Crowcon's fully automated solution for testing and verifying that your Gas-Pro and T4 are in a compliant state to carry out your daily work. Bump testing standards are getting tighter in all regions and the need for controlled bump and calibration records is a must. I-Test and the accompanying I-Test manager software makes this as easy as can be. It takes less than 1 minute to complete a bump test!

Overview

When the Gas-Pro or T4 are inserted inserted into I-Test, no button presses are required and I-Test starts testing automatically. A bump test takes less than 1 minute. The test carries out verification that the sensors are responding to a known value of gas, and filters are clear and good for use. It will also ensure the audible and visual alarms are working, giving the user full confidence that they are compliant for site use.

I-Test is easy to use with no requirements to turn on and off the gas: the design of the demand flow regulator coupled with the I-Test will allow the automatic pull of the correct required amount and concentration of gas. I-Test can also recognise cylinders that are empty or those that have expired allowing full compliance.

I-Test stores all bump and calibration results and this can then be interrogated using the I-Test Manager software. This powerful software allows you to carry out exception reporting to see who has and hasn’t carried out their bump or calibrations. I-Test Manager also makes it very easy to print both bump and calibration certificates and any tailored reports you have generated.

I-TEST HAS BEEN UPDATED WITH NEW FEATURES

  • Stand alone calibration allows you to calibrate all sensors in the Gas-Pro and T4, even if the sensors are not due a calibration.
  • I-Test now supports all Gas-Pro flammable sensor configurations, including methane, propane, butane, pentane and hydrogen. Bump testing and calibration can be performed with the target gas, or using methane. So if you have fleet of methane, butane and pentane Gas-Pro, I-Test can bump test them all using methane
  • I-Test automatically updates the date and time in your Gas-Pro and T4. When the clocks change for daylight savings, I-Test will update Gas-Pro and T4 as soon as it sees them.
